Landscape Architect
Richard Miers Garden Design Ltd is looking for a London based, qualified, Landscape Architect to join its thriving and exciting practice.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant, busy and supportive team and work on a variety of exciting projects both in and out of London.
Role and Responsibilities:
Project and client management
Leading design projects from survey through to construction.
Attending site meetings and following up in accordance
Producing 2D plans and 3D visuals using Sketchup / CAD or equivalent
Writing comprehensive schedules of works and specifications
Skills required:
Qualification in Landscape Architecture or equivalent professional experience working in a landscape design studio
Excellent knowledge of plants and landscaping materials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Administrative skills
Proficient in Sketchup and Microsoft Office, CAD or equivalent
Ability to produce detailed designs and all associated drawings including sections and elevations.
Committed, organised and willing to work across a range of projects simultaneously.
Highly commercial
A self-starter with an ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to multiple deadlines
Full, clean UK driving licence is required but not essential.
This role is a full-time salaried position for the right candidate.

Freelance Media Manager (8 hrs per week)
Richard Miers Garden Design Ltd is seeking a creative and highly motivated freelance Media Manager to support our thriving landscape design practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for branding, storytelling, and digital engagement to work with a luxury Garden design studio.
The successful candidate will help elevate our online presence and ensure our brand is consistently and beautifully represented across all media platforms.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic content calendar for social media and website updates.
Create engaging content, including posts, stories, reels, and written captions, showcasing our projects, process, and style.
Manage and grow our social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand voice and aesthetics.
Write and post blog content to enhance SEO and share updates on recent projects or industry trends.
Analyse engagement metrics and provide monthly reports with actionable insights.
Respond to media and collaboration inquiries, working closely with the team.
Collaborate with the team to capture and refine images and videos of ongoing and completed projects.
Stay up to date on digital trends and make recommendations for new approaches to engage our audience.
Skills Required:
Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing, ideally within the design or luxury sector.
Excellent written communication skills with a flair for storytelling and copywriting.
Strong visual eye and understanding of aesthetics, particularly within luxury design.
Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software.
Knowledge of SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, etc.).
Highly organised and self-motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with the landscape design, architecture, or luxury design sectors is a plus.
Details:
Freelance role: we anticipate 1 day per week.
Flexible working (remote with occasional in-person collaboration if required).
Competitive day rate based on experience.
